A Fresh Focus: My Vision for Photography in 2025
As I step into 2025, I can’t help but reflect on how much has changed over the past year. Choosing to embrace the unknown, navigating life’s uncertainties, and rediscovering what truly matters has given me a fresh perspective—not just on life, but on photography as well.
Photography has always been about capturing a moment, but this year, it feels like more than that. It’s about telling stories of resilience, simplicity, and connection. It’s about seeing the world not just as it is, but as it could be.
When you live with less, life becomes simple. You pare down to what’s essential. It’s opened my eyes to how much I was taking for granted. I started to notice the quiet details of life and to pay closer attention to my surroundings—with more gratitude and awe, especially for the Northern California coastline.
This simplicity has transformed the way I shoot. I’ve learned to look beyond the grand and focus on the subtle, often-overlooked beauty of the everyday. In a world that moves too fast, I want my photos to offer a pause—a moment to breathe and feel.
In 2025, I’m challenging myself to push boundaries and expand my work. I’m diving deeper into the world of aerial views and storytelling. There’s something magical about capturing California’s rugged coastlines, Jamaica’s natural beauty, the waters of Hawaii, or the raw landscapes of Baja from a bird's eye view. These places tell their own stories, and I want to be their messenger.
I want to share the stories not just on social media, but in real life. I’m excited to host an intimate gallery show this month—a chance for people to flow through, see my latest photography collection up close, enjoy some cocktails, and connect.
Photography isn’t a solo journey. In 2025, I’m prioritizing collaboration—meeting people who inspire me to see the world differently. I look forward to interactions that breathe life into my work, pushing me to create images that feel authentic and alive.
Above all, my biggest shift this year is in perspective. 2024 reminded me that life isn’t about perfection; it’s about connection.
Whether I’m shooting a surfer ripping on a wave, capturing palm trees on a remote beach (my favorite), or documenting the raw emotion of a portrait, I want my photos to evoke and bring out emotion.
As we step into a new year, pause. Look closer. There’s beauty everywhere if we’re willing to see it.
Thank you for following my journey. Stay tuned for updates, more aerial views, and new projects I can’t wait to share. Let’s make 2025 a year of growth, connection, and creativity.
